Is there anything worth eating inside Seoul Station itself?

This list deliberately stops at the station doors. Everything here is a street-level restaurant within about a 15-minute walk — the closest is roughly 5 minutes away in Jungnim-dong. If you have 20 minutes before a KTX departure, the station's own food court is the practical answer; if you have an hour, walking out is a better meal.

Which direction should I walk?

Three pockets. Jungnim-dong, straight out the back (west) side, is the closest and the least touristed. Bukchang-dong and Seosomun sit north-east toward City Hall, about 10–15 minutes. Namdaemun Market and Galwol-dong are south-east. The largest clusters here are Seosomun-dong (3), Jung-gu (3), Bukchang-dong (3).

Can I do this with luggage?

14 of the 16 are walk-in, so nothing depends on a reservation you cannot change if your train shifts. 7 are marked solo-friendly, which in practice means counter or single-bowl service rather than a shared grill. Older shops are small and often have no luggage space — the soup and noodle counters handle a suitcase better than the grills do.

How expensive is it?
