Privacy
No accounts. No ads. No cookies. Nothing about your visit is sent to another company. We count page views ourselves, without any identifier that survives the day — so we can tell how many people came, never who. The only personal thing we ever receive is what you choose to type into the feedback form. This page says exactly what happens to all of it.
What we don't do
- No third-party analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Meta pixel, no heatmap — nothing about your visit is sent to another company. We do count page views ourselves; the next section says exactly how.
- No cookies. This site sets none. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no ads, no ad networks.
- We never sell, rent, or share your data. There is no marketing list to be added to.
How we count page views
We measure our own traffic, on our own server, with no third party involved. It iscookieless: nothing is written to your browser, and there is no identifier that survives the day. Per page view we record the path, how long the tab was actuallyvisible (background time is not counted), whether you scrolled past halfway, the referring site’s hostname, and whether the screen is phone-sized.
To tell two people apart on the same day we computehash(random daily salt + your IP + your browser string). Your IP is never stored. The salt is random, and we delete it when the day ends — once it is gone, that day’s hashes cannot be traced back to anyone, not even by us. This is the same method Plausible uses, and it is why we can say “37 people came today” but never “this person came back on Thursday.”
Page-view records are deleted after 24 months.
What you send us on purpose
The feedback sheet — "Something off? Tell us" — sends what you wrote to us. Nothing else on this site sends anything about you anywhere. When you press Send, we store:

We do not ask for your name, and there is no field for one. If you type something into the message that identifies you, that is your choice — we would rather you didn't.
"Near me" never leaves your device
The Near me view asks your browser for your location to sort restaurants by distance. That sorting happens in your browser. The coordinates are never sent to us, never stored, and never logged. Deny the permission and the rest of the site works exactly the same.
Who else sees you loading a page
Any website you open reveals your IP address to whoever serves the files. We keep that list as short as we can:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and serves every page. Their privacy terms apply to that connection.
- OpenFreeMap — map tiles, and only on views that draw a map.
- YouTube — the source videos we credit are embedded. We use
youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set tracking cookies unless you actually press play. If you press play, you are on YouTube's terms from that moment.
We do not embed fonts, scripts, share buttons, or anything else from third parties. There is nothing else on the page reaching out.
How long we keep it
Feedback is kept while it is still useful to act on, and no longer than 24 months. If you left an email, we delete the address once we have replied — the message itself may stay, without the address attached. You can ask us to delete anything sooner and we will.
Your rights
Email hello@seouldangol.com and you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will do it. There is no form to fill in and no account to verify, because we do not have accounts — tell us roughly when and what you sent and we will find it.
Depending on where you live, the law may already give you these rights by name: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability under the EU GDPR; equivalent rights under Korea's PIPA and Japan's APPI. You do not need to cite any of them. Asking is enough. If you believe we have mishandled something, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Where the data sits
Feedback is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in the Asia-Pacific region, and the site is served from Cloudflare's global network. That means data may be processed outside your country, including outside the EU and Korea.
Children
This is a restaurant list for adults planning meals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If a child has sent us feedback, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we ever start collecting something new, this page changes first and says so. Last updated2026-07-27.
