Seven restaurants near Konkuk University station, and five of the seven stay open well past a normal dinner hour — a rhythm that tracks with the student commercial district around Konkuk-dae and Hwayang-dong rather than an office-lunch or tourist schedule. Anju Nara runs latest of the group: a skate (hongeo) specialist open daily from 3pm to 4:30am since 2011, built around a hongeo samhap platter of fermented skate, boiled pork, and aged kimchi, plus a skate-broth ramyeon for later in the night. Ishindon Haemul-samhap and Bongja Maratang both run to midnight. Ishindon, open since 1996 and closed Tuesdays, serves a shared haemul-samhap platter — grilled pork belly, seafood, and aged kimchi — from a minimum two-person portion in a small five-table dining room; phone or KakaoMap booking is available to skip the wait, and Kim Three Meals featured it. Bongja Maratang, in the same Jayang-dong "China Street" cluster, keeps a malatang and shredded-pork menu open daily to midnight by its posted hours; Ddoganjip's Poong Ja covered it, though without the show's official pick mark. Daeheung Yangdari Barbecue, on the neighborhood's yangkkochi strip, also runs daily to midnight — a whole roasted lamb leg alongside the standard skewers, flagged by Ddoganjip as a spot known mainly to students.
Hoya Sushi & Tuna is the exception: it closes at 10pm, is shut on Sundays, and is the only one of the seven that isn't a straightforward walk-in — a waitlist runs through an in-store tablet or CatchTable, with orders placed the same way once seated. Open since 2009 and covered by Kim Three Meals, it draws steady waits at peak times despite the earlier close.
